Who are we?

Catz ‘N Wood

We are Sandy and Jurgen, the founders of Catz’n Wood, a Belgian brand that produces handmade scratching posts and cat furniture made from solid oak and teak wood.

Catz’n Wood was born out of a very concrete frustration: decent, beautiful cat furniture that also fits into a well-maintained interior simply did not exist. So we made it ourselves. From our workshop in Westerlo, we work with real wood types, real finishes and real attention to detail – not plush trees that fall apart after a year.

Each piece is handmade. Each piece is unique. That’s what solid wood does: it lives, it breathes, it carries the character of the tree from which it comes. Whether you choose the warm tone of ash wood or the robust look of teak — you get a piece of furniture that gets better year after year.

For indoors and outdoors. For small cats and large ones. For interiors you're proud of.

Cats are not just an accidental subject with us.

In addition to Catz’n Wood, Sandy runs Cattery Latté’s Wish, At , we breed British Shorthair and British Longhair cats. Day in, day out, we see cats climbing, scratching, stretching, and curling up — and that shows in everything we make. You design a scratching post differently if you know how a cat will actually lie on it.

And in 2027, something else will be added to that. Sandy is currently studying to become a cat groomer, and behind our studio, work is underway on something that will soon be giving cats a pampering treatment. More about that will be announced later; keep an eye on our social media channels. https://salonlatte.be/

Maine Coon Crabs Stand

A Maine Coon is not just any cat. With a weight of up to 10 kg and a length that exceeds most cat trees, a Maine Coon needs a cat tree that can really handle it.

Our Maine Coon scratching posts are made from solid oak wood — one of the densest and heaviest tropical wood species. The wide base provides stability even when your cat is flying at full speed towards it. The height is large enough to scratch completely extended, which is crucial for large cat breeds for a healthy spine.

Buying a Maine Coon scratching post? You can do that at Catz’n Wood.
