Katrien 1.50m (suar wood)

The Katrien is different. Where the Baron and the Babette work with a straight trunk and crenellated berths, the Katrien opts for a different approach — a rotating, twisting trunk around which the five berths rise like a spiral staircase. The result is one wooden cat scratching post that looks different from every angle, and that gives your cat a climbing route that looks like no other anywhere else.

This rotating setup is not only beautiful — it is also ergonomically designed. Each perch is positioned at a different position along the axis of the pole, allowing your cat to move up naturally. Turning, stretching, climbing — the Katrien follows the cat’s movement rather than forcing the cat to adapt to the pole.

Five berths of 35 to 40 cm — large enough to stretch out fully and rest. At 150 cm high, the Katrien offers enough levels for both the quiet sleeper and the active climber.

The Katrien is made from solid wood suar wood, hand-selected and finished in our workshop in Westerlo. The rotating stem is not a gimmick or a construction of separate parts — it is one piece of wood that has brought its own character with it. It Suar wood is heavy and dense, the wide foot keeps everything stable even when your cat is spinning at full speed.

Each Katrien is unique. The wood grain follows the twist of the trunk in a way that you can never fully predict. That is exactly what makes a piece of solid wood so special.

Configure the Katrien to your liking: lace trim, a cushion, a donut bed or a teak wood bowl. Everything can be selected separately.
