Our bestseller Babette scratching post — a firm favourite for 8 years in suar wood — is now also available in 100% solid teak wood. Suitable for outdoor use, as teak is more durable and weather resistant than suar wood. Same trusted build: 150cm high, 5 staggered platforms of 35 x 40cm and the same wide stable base.

The staggered platforms are the heart of the Babette. By alternating the placement on either side of the post, your cat climbs up smoothly — level by level, without big leaps. A natural climbing route that matches the instinct of the cat, regardless of the wood type.

Teak is one of the heaviest and densest tropical hardwoods. It naturally contains resins and oils that make it resistant to moisture and temperature changes — without intensive maintenance every season. The wide base, combined with the weight of the teak, provides a stability you feel the moment you touch the post.

Five platforms of 35 x 40cm — large enough for an adult cat to rest fully stretched out. Whether you have one cat that claims all the levels, or several cats each looking for their own spot — the Babette has room for both.

Every Babette teak is unique. The straight grain of teak has a different appearance from suar — calmer, more uniform, with a warm golden-brown tone that becomes more beautiful with age.
