Catz ‘N Wood cares deeply about your privacy. Therefore, we only process data that is necessary for (improving) our services and handle with care the information we have collected about you and your use of our services. We never provide your data for commercial purposes to third parties.
About data processing
Below, you can read how we process your data, where we store it, which security techniques we use, and who can access the data.
Our online store was developed with WooCommerce software, and we have chosen Siteground for our web hosting. Personal data that you provide for our services is shared with this party. Siteground has access to your data to provide us with technical support, but they will never use your data for another purpose. Based on the agreement we have concluded with them, Siteground is obliged to take appropriate security measures. These security measures include the application of SSL encryption and a strong password policy. Regular backups are made to prevent data loss.
We use web hosting and email services from Vimexx. Vimexx processes personal data on our behalf and does not use your data for personal purposes. However, this party may collect metadata about the use of the services. This is not personal data. Vimexx has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to prevent loss and unauthorized use of your personal data. Vimexx is bound by a confidentiality agreement.
Email and mailing lists
We use Gmail services for our regular business email. This party has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to prevent abuse, loss, and corruption of your and our data as much as possible. Gmail does not have access to our inbox, and we treat all our email traffic confidentially.
For handling (part of) the payments in our online store, we use the Mollie platform. Mollie processes your name, address, and place of residence details, as well as your payment details such as your bank account or credit card number. Mollie has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data. Mollie reserves the right to use your data to further improve the service and, in that context, share (anonymized) data with third parties. All the above-mentioned safeguards regarding the protection of your personal data also apply to the parts of Mollie’s services for which they engage third parties. Mollie does not keep your data longer than is permitted by the legal deadlines.
Shipping and logistics Bpost, DPD, DHL, Mondial Relay,…
When you place an order with us, our task is to have your package delivered to you. We use the services of various mail-order companies to perform the deliveries. It is necessary for us to share your name, address, and place of residence details with these companies. The mail-order companies use this data only for the purpose of executing the agreement. In the event that the mail-order companies engage subcontractors, they also provide your data to these parties.

General purpose of processing
We use your data exclusively for our services. This means that the purpose of the processing is always directly related to the assignment you provide. We do not use your data for (targeted) marketing. If you share data with us and we use this data to contact you later, other than at your request, we will explicitly ask for your permission. Your data is not shared with third parties, other than to comply with accounting and other administrative obligations. If you inform us of this, we will also consider it a forget request. Based on applicable administrative obligations, we must keep invoices with your (personal) data, so we will keep this data for as long as the applicable period runs.
