About our privacy policy

Catz ‘N Wood cares about your privacy. We therefore only process data that we need for (the improvement of) our services and treat the information that we have collected about you and your use of our services with care. We never make your data available to third parties for commercial purposes.

This privacy policy is applicable to the use of the website and the services of N Projecten that are derived from it. The effective date for the validity of these terms and conditions is 13/12/2018, with the publication of a new version, the validity of all previous versions expires. This privacy policy describes what data about you is collected by us, what this data is used for and with whom and under what conditions this data may be shared with third parties. We also explain to you how we store your data and how we protect your data against misuse and what rights you have with regard to the personal data you have provided to us.

About the data processing

Below you can read how we process your data, where we store it (or have it stored), what security techniques we use and to whom the data is accessible.

Webshop Software

WooCommerce

Our store is developed with WooCommerce software, we have chosen Siteground for our web hosting. Personal data that you make available to us for our services is shared with this party. Siteground has access to your data to provide us with (technical) support, they will never use your data for any other purpose. Siteground is obliged by the agreement we have made with them to take appropriate security measures. These security measures consist of the application of SSL encryption and a strong password policy. Regular backups are made to prevent loss of data.

Webhosting

One.com

We purchase web hosting and e-mail services from One.com. One.com processes personal data on our behalf and does not use your data for its own purposes. One.com may, however, collect metadata about the use of the services. This is not personal data. ITcreation has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to prevent loss and unauthorized use of your personal data. ITcreation is bound to secrecy under the agreement.

E-mail and mailing lists

One.com

We use the services of One.com for our regular business e-mail traffic. This party has appropriate technical and organizational measures in place to prevent misuse, loss and corruption of your and our data as much as possible. One.com has no access to our mailbox and we treat all our email traffic confidentially.

Payment processors

Mollie

For handling (part of) the payments in our store we use the platform of Mollie. Mollie processes your name, address and city details and your payment information such as your bank account or credit card number. Mollie has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data. Mollie reserves the right to use your data to further improve its services and in this context to share (anonymized) data with third parties. All of the above guarantees regarding the protection of your personal data also apply to those parts of Mollie’s services for which it engages third parties. Mollie will not retain your data any longer than permitted by law.

Shipping

Bpost

When you place an order with us, it is our job to deliver your package to you. We use the services of Bpost to carry out the deliveries. It is therefore necessary that we share your name, address and residence details with Bpost. Bpost will only use this data for the execution of the agreement. In the event that Bpost engages subcontractors, Bpost will also make your data available to these parties.

 

Purpose of the data processing

General purpose of the processing

We use your data for the sole purpose of providing our services. This means that the purpose of the processing is always directly related to the order you have placed. We do not use your data for (targeted) marketing. If you share data with us and we use these data – other than at your request – to contact you at a later date, we will ask you for your explicit permission. Your data will not be shared with third parties, other than to meet accounting and other administrative obligations. These third parties are all bound to secrecy by virtue of the agreement between them and us or an oath or legal obligation.

Automatically collected data

Data that is automatically collected by our website is processed for the purpose of further improving our services. These data (e.g. your IP address, web browser and operating system) are not personal data.

If necessary, Catz N Wood may be required by law to share your data in connection with governmental tax or criminal investigations. In such a case, we will be obliged to share your data, but we will oppose this within the possibilities offered to us by law.

Retention periods

We will retain your data for as long as you are a client of ours. This means that we will keep your client profile until you indicate that you no longer wish to use our services. If you indicate this to us, we will also interpret this as a request to forget. Pursuant to applicable administrative obligations, we must retain invoices containing your (personal) data; we will therefore retain this data for as long as the applicable term lasts. However, employees no longer have access to your client profile and documents that we have produced as a result of your instructions.

Your rights

Under applicable Belgian and European law, you as a data subject have certain rights with respect to personal data processed by us or on our behalf. We explain below what these rights are and how you can invoke them. In principle, to prevent misuse, we will only send copies and copies of your data to your e-mail address already known to us. In the event that you wish to receive the data at another e-mail address or, for example, by post, we will ask you to identify yourself. We keep a record of completed requests; in the case of a forgetful request, we administer anonymized data. You will receive all copies and data in the machine-readable data format that we use within our systems. You always have the right to have the data we process, or have processed, which relate to your person or can be traced back to that person, rectified. You can make a request to this effect to our contact person for privacy matters. You will then receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you a confirmation at the e-mail address we have on record that the data has been amended.

Right to restriction of processing

You always have the right to restrict the data we process (or have processed) that relate to or are traceable to your person. You can make a request to this effect to our contact person for privacy matters. You will then receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you confirmation at the email address we have on record that the data will no longer be processed until you lift the restriction.

Right of portability

You always have the right to have the data that we process (or have processed) and that relates to your person or can be traced back to you, carried out by another party. You can make a request to this effect to our contact person for privacy matters. You will receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you copies or copies of all the data about you that we have processed or that has been processed on our behalf by other processors or third parties at the email address we have on record. In all likelihood, we will no longer be able to continue providing services in such a case, as the secure interconnection of data files can then no longer be guaranteed.

Right to object and other rights

You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data by or on behalf of Catz N Wood. If you object, we will immediately cease processing the data pending the resolution of your objection. If your objection is well-founded, we will make copies and/or copies of the data that we are processing (or have processed) available to you and then permanently discontinue the processing. You also have the right not to be subjected to automated individual decision-making or profiling. We do not process your data in such a way that this right applies. Through our website, cookies are placed by the U.S. company Google, as part of the “Analytics” service. We use this service to track and get reports on how visitors use the website. This processor may be obliged under applicable laws and regulations to provide access to these data. We collect information about your surfing behaviour and share this data with Google. Google can interpret this information in conjunction with other data sets and thus track your movements on the Internet. Google uses this information to serve you targeted ads (Adwords) and other Google services and products.

We reserve the right to change our privacy policy at any time. However, on this page you will always find the most recent version. If the new privacy policy affects the way we already process data relating to you, we will inform you by e-mail.
